[SAP SD] How to switch off ATP check in case of immediate delivery is activated for the sales order type in transaction VOV8 ?

 Issue

System carries out an ATP check despite the ATP check is deactivated in the schedule line category of the sales order in transaction VOV6.

Root Cause

The ATP check for sales orders with immediate deliveries is controlled by the following settings:

  • ATP check setting in the requirement class (transaction OVZG)
  • ATP check setting in the schedule line category (transaction VOV6)
  • ATP check setting in the item category of the delivery (transaction 0VLP)

It is not sufficient to deactivate the ATP check only in the schedule line category when ATP check is activated at the other two mentioned customizing settings.
In immediate deliveries the ATP check is carried out with checking rule B (Checking rule for deliveries). The setting in the item category of the delivery is also important in this case.

Solution Approach

If you would like to switch off ATP in immediate deliveries you have to either:

  1. Switch off ATP check in the requirement class (transaction OVZG)

 OR

  1. Switch off ATP check BOTH in schedule line category (transaction VOV6) AND in item category of the delivery (transaction 0VLP)
Note :

In case of Rush Orders the system uses checking rule B as the delivery will be created automatically when saving the rush order. The ATP check is carried out in the rush order and then just copied into the delivery. In the delivery there is no new ATP check. When you have created already a partial delivery and you trigger a new ATP check in the rush order then checking rule A is used as the system cannot create automatically a second delivery . In this case the delivery has to be created manually e.g. using transaction VL01N.

Add Custom fields to sales order screen in Additional Tab B - Header

SAP has provided Additional data Tab A and Tab B for the addition of custom fields to the Standard sales order screen. Screens 8309, 8310 are used for header level and 8459,8460 for item level. Prior to this, we are required to append the custom fields of the Sales order sub screen in VBAK or VBAP. Pass Custom field values in PAI of screen 8309 within Chain statement CHAIN. FIELD: VBAK-<Custom Field 1>         VBAK-<Custom Field 2>         VBAK-<Custom Field 3> ENDCHAIN. Thank you.

Basically, the data initialization is called on the following occasions: FORM routine USEREXIT_DELETE_DOCUMENT (include MV50AFZ1) Purpose If a delivery is deleted, you can delete your own dependent data using this FORM routine. Call The FORM routine is called from the FORM routine BELEG_LOESCHEN (SAPMV50A) if the document can be deleted completely. Immediately after the FORM routine  USEREXIT_DELETE_DOCUMENT is called, the document backup is called for which the logically deleted delivery is removed from the database. FORM routine USEREXIT_READ_DOCUMENT (include MV50AFZ1) Purpose The exit is used to make your own data availabl...
